SADTU supports COSATU’s Candle Light Prayer gathering at the site of the Tragic Vanderbijlpark Accident.

The South African Democratic Teachers’ Union (SADTU), as an affiliate of COSATU and a union in the education sector, fully supports the memorial candle light prayer service scheduled to take place at the site of the horrific accident in Vanderbijlpark at noon today.
Twelve school children lost their lives at the scene on Monday when their scholar transport minibus taxi collided with a truck.
The prayer gathering will take place as follows:
12:00-14H00: Prayer and moment of silence at the accident scene, Fred Droste Road, (R553 Golden Highway) Vanderbijlpark, Sedibeng
14H00-15H30: Family visit
16H00-18H00 – Candlelight prayer, Zone 7, Kingdom Car Wash, Sebokeng.
Let us come together as workers, parents, communities and people of all religions to comfort the grieving families and pray for strength, healing and justice.
