SADTU NW to Honour Best Performing Schools

The South African Democratic Teachers' Union in the North West (SADTU NW) shall honour more than 50 schools that performed well in the 2020 academic year. The various categories of schools that will be awarded include Quintile 1-3 schools that accomplished between 90 - 100 %, those that performed between 80-90%, Top Quintile 4 schools and Best Rural schools.

These awards, to take place for the first time in the province, are intended to grow in years to come and include more categories. SADTU NW will be fulfilling one of the Union's 2030 Vision Pillar 2 of Creating a Learning Nation. As the Union creates a learning nation, it has a duty to ensure that the quality of education is improved and sustained. The event is a positive symbol of promoting excellence and acknowledging the performance of our schools under difficult circumstances as a result of COVID -19 challenges.
