As schools open doors for the 2014 school year tomorrow (15 January 2014) SADTU’s National Office Bearers’ will visit schools in some of the provinces to monitor readiness on the first day of school.

The programme is as follows:

  • General Secretary Cde Mugwena Maluleke will visit Mohoai High School in Polokwene, Limpopo  Province;
  • Deputy General Secretary Cde Nkosana Dolopi will visit Vukasizwe Primary School in Hopetown in the Northern Cape Province tomorrow. On Thursday, he will attend the ceremony to award  Remmogo Secondary School in JTG Region in Kuruman for being the most improved school;
  • National Treasurer Cde Lindiwe Motshwane will visit Mahashe High School in Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga Province;
  • Deputy President Cde Magope Maphila will visit Ramphelane Secondary School in Manganeng Village in Limpopo Province;
  • Vice-President for Education Cde Veronica Hofmeester will visit Protea Park Primary school and Robbinvale Secondary School. Both the schools are in Atlantis in the Western Province;
  • Vice-President for Gender Cde Dorcus Sekabate will visit Tlokola Secondary school at Thabo Mofutsanyana district in the Free State Province;
  • Vice President for Sports, Arts and Culture Cde Fezeka Loliwe will visit Siyababalwa Secondary School in King Williamstown tomorrow and Zanovuyo Secondary also in King Williamstown in the Eastern Cape Province on Thursday.
