Laptop Initiative: Closing the Digital Divide for Teachers

Laptop Initiative: Closing the Digital Divide for Teachers

SADTU has long argued that educators need to be capacitated to handle the IT (information technology) revolution. So it is with joy that we can announce that the
Union is concluding an agreement with the Department of Education to subsidize the purchase of laptop computers by educators. The scheme will be rolled out progressively, starting with school principals. Meanwhile, SADTU is still negotiating with suppliers to ensure the best deal for the educators. We will keep you informed.
