1GOAL: What you can do to help get 72 million children into school…

This is critical to the campaign. Every signature collected will be sent to world leaders to ensure that they deliver on their commitment of “Education for All” by 2015.

• Teach the Lesson (and validate your lesson by telling us how many people took part)
On the 20th of April, the 1GOAL lesson will be taught in over 100 countries to millions of children. The purpose of this lesson is raise awareness around the Education for All goals, rally in solidarity for the 72 million children around the world who are denied their right to an education, and ensure that the1GOAL message of Education for all as committed to in Dakar by world leaders is kept. (please note that the lesson can be done any time after the 20th of April up until the World Cup).

• Yellow-Card your education concerns
Get the children in your school, the teachers, parents and community members to send a message of their concerns about education to the President on a yellow card. If they do not have yellow paper, that is not a problem. They can use yellow crayons or koki pens to colour-in regular white paper, or they can use a piece of white paper and write “Yellow Card” at the top. This is our chance to let the President know what our concerns are around education! Please send these back to us and we will make sure that the President receives them.
• Paint a 1GOAL wall
Paint a 1GOAL wall at your school in support of 2010 being a year for education.
• Wear a shoelace around your wrist in support of 1GOAL
• 1 day for 1GOAL
Get your organization or company to dedicate 1 day to 1GOAL. Use this day for the company to mobilize all their contacts to sign-up to 1GOAL, and highlight the campaign’s message of Education for All.
